Live My Purpose is a personal productivity dashboard that helps you align your daily actions with your life purpose. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This is used solely to identify your account.

App data you create. Your initiatives, reflections, daily scores, coaching memories, and settings are created by you within the app and stored in your account.

Gmail data (optional). If you grant the gmail.readonly permission, the app fetches your recent inbox messages to display them with AI-powered triage suggestions. Email content is fetched live from Google and cached temporarily in your browser. We do not store your email content on our servers.

Calendar data (optional). If you grant the calendar.readonly permission, the app fetches your upcoming calendar events to display them with AI-generated meeting preparation notes. Calendar data is fetched live from Google and cached temporarily in your browser. We do not store your calendar events on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Authentication: Your Google profile identifies your account and keeps your data private.
App functionality: Your initiatives, reflections, and settings power the core dashboard experience.
AI features: Email subjects, calendar event titles, and relevant context are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate triage suggestions and meeting prep notes. This data is sent only when you use these features and is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
Sync: If cloud sync is enabled, your app data is stored in Firebase Firestore so it is available across your devices.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your app data is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB).
If cloud sync is enabled, app data is also stored in Google Cloud Firestore, isolated to your account and protected by Firebase security rules.
Gmail and Calendar data is only cached in your browser session and is never written to our database.
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — Authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase Privacy Policy

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your data is only used to provide the app's features as described above. The only external data transfers are to the third-party services listed in Section 4, strictly for the app's functionality.

6. Data Retention

Account and app data: Retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
Gmail and Calendar data: Cached in your browser only for the current session. Not retained on our servers.
AI processing: Data sent to the Anthropic API is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic after processing.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — All your app data is visible within the app itself.
Disconnect Google access — Revoke Gmail and Calendar permissions at any time in Settings, or via your Google Account permissions.
Delete your data — Clear local data by clearing your browser storage. To delete cloud-synced data, contact us at the email below.
Withdraw consent — Stop using the app at any time. Revoking Google permissions immediately stops all Gmail and Calendar data access.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
