Live My Purpose — livemypurpose.app
Effective date: April 16, 2025 | Last updated: August 31, 2026
Live My Purpose is a personal productivity dashboard that helps you align your daily actions with your life purpose. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This is used solely to identify your account. Sign-in is the only thing the app uses Google for: it requests no access to your Gmail, your Calendar, or any other Google service, and it cannot read them.
App data you create. Your initiatives, reminders, reflections, daily scores, values ratings, coaching memories, executive summaries, and settings are created by you within the app and stored in your account.
Your Anthropic API key. If you supply one, it stays on the device you entered it on — in the browser's local storage on the web, and in the operating system's secure storage in the Android app. It is not synced, so each device needs its own copy, and it is never stored in our database. On the web it is obfuscated rather than encrypted, so treat it as recoverable by anyone who can read that browser's storage, and revoke it at Anthropic if you believe it has been exposed.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: Your Google profile identifies your account and keeps your data private.
- App functionality: Your initiatives, reflections, and settings power the core dashboard experience.
- AI features: The app sends your own dashboard data to the Anthropic Claude API to generate the coaching questions, reminders, and insight it shows you. Depending on the feature, that can include your name, your purpose statement and values, recent daily entries, your written reflections and said-no lists, active initiatives, reminders and the rules you set for surfacing them, coaching memories, and the executive summaries you maintain in Settings. This happens when you tap Refresh, when you use the in-app chat or any of the other buttons that ask Claude for something, and automatically in two cases: shortly after you finish typing an evening reflection, so it can be analysed, and once a day at start-up, to consolidate your coaching memories. The data is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
- Sync: Your app data is stored in Firebase Firestore so it is available across your devices.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Your app data is stored locally on your device — in your browser's local storage on the web, or in an on-device database in the Android app.
- App data is also stored in Google Cloud Firestore, isolated to your account and protected by Firebase security rules.
- The app publishes no personal data to its public website; nothing you create is written into the hosted site.
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your data is only used to provide the app's features as described above. The only external data transfers are to the third-party services listed in Section 4, strictly for the app's functionality.
6. Data Retention
- Account and app data: Retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
- AI processing: Data sent to the Anthropic API is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic after processing.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — All your app data is visible within the app itself.
- Disconnect Google access — Sign out in Settings, or remove the app from your Google Account permissions. Because the app holds only sign-in access, this ends everything it can see.
- Delete your data — Clear local data by clearing your browser storage. To delete cloud-synced data, contact us at the email below.
- Withdraw consent — Stop using the app at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
